Career growth vs being present - impossible choice?

Got offered a promotion that would be a huge step up. More money, more title, more respect at work. But it's also more travel, longer hours, and my family is already stretched thin. My wife didn't say no but I could see it in her face. She's juggling so much already. I feel like I'm supposed to provide and advance my career but also be an engaged dad and that's becoming increasingly impossible. Anyone navigate this successfully or is it just picking which thing you're gonna fail at?
