Career shift at 42 for better work-life balance
Left my job in finance making good money to take a role at a nonprofit that pays 30k less but I'm done by 5. Took a deep breath and made the jump last month. Haven't regretted it yet. Money is tighter but I'm not missing my kids's lives anymore. Anyone else do something like this? Would love to hear how it worked out for other guys.
Done by 5 sounds like a dream right now honestly. I've been thinking about similar stuff with my contracting schedule so I can actually be around on weekends.
