Career stalled since having kids

I turned down a promotion that would require traveling 2 weeks a month. I know it was the right call for my family but I can't help feeling like my career is done. Everyone at my level is getting ahead and I'm just maintaining. Anyone else struggle with this? How do you make peace with it?

Man, I totally get it. I turned down some opportunities too because of the travel, and yeah it stings. But honestly, being here for bike rides and trail days with my kids beats any title bump. The career stuff will be there, these moments won't.

Two weeks a month away would've killed me. My voice is already gone every Saturday from the sidelines, can't imagine missing that too. You made the right call even if it doesn't feel like it yet.
