Career Stalled Since Having Kids and I'm OK With It

Didn't get the promotion because I can't travel for the new role. Company knows my situation. Five years ago that would have crushed me. Now? I have two kids in elementary school and a wife who also works. Someone needs to be the anchor. I'm making decent money, benefits are solid, hours are reasonable. Yeah I probably peaked career wise but I'm not missing my kids' childhoods for a title I'll have for 2 years before moving to the next thing. It's a different kind of success.
