Company is pushing everyone back to office 5 days a week

Just got the email. They say it's for collaboration and company culture. I have a 90 minute commute each way. That's 3 hours a day in the car on top of 8 hours at work. Started looking at other jobs because I'm not doing this. Kids need a present parent more than I need this paycheck. Anyone else dealing with this?

This is getting worse everywhere. My company tried the same thing last year and we pushed back as a department. They compromised at three days. Worth fighting for if you can rally your team.

90 minute commute five days a week? That's brutal. I'd be pushing back hard on that. Can you go to your manager and make a case for hybrid? Some companies budge if you actually talk to them about it.

That's insane. The collaboration argument doesn't hold up anymore. Nobody needs to be in an office five days a week for that to happen. Start looking around because there are companies that actually get it.
