Why do my bosses always decide to send urgent emails right at bedtime? I'm trying to read stories to my 4 year old and my phone keeps buzzing. Told my team I'm off at 6pm but apparently that doesn't stick. Anyone have success setting boundaries with their workplace or am I just supposed to accept this is how it is now?

I feel this so hard. Working swing shifts means my email never stops coming. Honestly I've just started ignoring the urgent stuff until the next day if it's after 8pm. They'll survive.
Have you tried setting an auto-reply that goes out at like 7pm saying you're offline with family? My company got the hint when I did that consistently.
