Finally got approved for 2 weeks paternity leave and I'm terrified
Been at my company for 5 years and they finally approved my request. Baby number 2 is due in 6 weeks. Part of me is excited to actually be there for the first two weeks but honestly I'm freaking out about what's piling up at work. My boss keeps saying "we'll figure it out" but I know that really means I'll be answering emails at 2am while my wife is trying to sleep. Anyone else dealt with this? How do you actually disconnect?
Congrats on getting approved, that's huge! The terrified feeling is totally normal. I was the same before my second - kept thinking about all the work stuff that would pile up. But honestly those two weeks go fast and you won't regret being there. The work will be there when you get back.
