Finally got my company to approve 4-day weeks—here's what I learned
Took 8 months of emails and conversations but they approved a Mon-Thu schedule starting next month. Tips if you're thinking about pitching this:
- Show the math: my productivity actually went UP when I'm not exhausted
- Propose a 3-month trial, not permanent
- Have a coverage plan for Fridays
- Don't apologize for wanting this

This is huge. I've been thinking about asking for this but wasn't sure it was even worth trying. How much did you have to compromise? Like did they want something from you in return or did you just need to prove it works?
