Got passed over for promotion and I'm actually relieved

Long story short, the promotion I was going for went to someone else. A year ago I would have been devastated. But today? I'm kind of relieved. The job would have meant 15 more hours a week and more travel. My kids are only gonna be young once. My wife looked at me and just said 'good.' Weird feeling being okay with it.
