Got promoted but have to travel more

Dream job basically fell into my lap but the catch is I'll be gone 2-3 days a week. Kids are 4 and 6. My wife is supportive but I can tell she's worried about handling everything solo. The money is life changing but I'm having serious doubts. Anyone been in this spot? Worth it or am I making a mistake?

2-3 days a week is a lot of time gone. Kids that age really need consistency. Not saying don't take it but make sure you're building in makeup time when you're home.

Tough spot. It's amazing and terrible at the same time. I'd say make sure the money bump actually makes sense for your family situation before you commit to it.

Congrats on the promotion but man that's a tough trade off with a 4 and 6 year old. I turned down a bigger opportunity when mine were that age because I didn't want to miss it. How does your wife feel about the travel schedule?
