How many hours are you actually working?

Curious what a realistic work week looks like for you guys. I'm supposed to do 40 hours but between kid interruptions, school pick up, and just life stuff, I probably only get 30-35 solid hours in. My manager doesn't seem to care as long as the work gets done but I feel like I'm constantly juggling. Just want to know if this is normal or if I'm just bad at time management.

Honestly I think anyone saying they're actually doing 40 uninterrupted hours with a kid at home is either fibbing or has some serious superpowers. Life gets in the way.

Real talk, I probably do about 35-38 solid hours when you factor out all the kid stuff that pops up. School pickup and sick days aren't negotiable so something's gotta give.
