Just dropped $2k on a standing desk and I don't regret it
Okay so this is a "recommendation" post but also kind of a rant. I spent a solid $2,000 on a Fully standing desk with the good motor and programmable presets because my back has been absolutely wrecked from 8+ hours in a chair. Yeah it's expensive but I've spent that easily on other stuff that doesn't matter. Game changer for my energy after work - less back pain = more patience with the kids = better dad. If you WFH and have the budget, seriously consider it. The cheap $400 ones from Amazon are garbage btw, waste of money.
Real question: does your work reimburse for ergonomic equipment? Some companies will cover $500-1000 of this stuff for WFH setups. Might be worth asking before dropping that much out of pocket.
