Just got approved for 12 weeks paternity leave and honestly nervous
So my company came through and approved my request for 3 months paternity leave starting next month. I should be thrilled right? But I'm sitting here worried about what happens when I go back. My boss has been cool about it but I know there's this unspoken thing about dads taking extended time off. Like people will think I'm not serious about my career. My wife thinks I'm crazy for hesitating but it's real. Anyone else deal with this? How did you handle the return to work after being gone that long?
Congrats man, that's huge! I took 8 weeks when my second was born and honestly it went by so fast. My advice: don't try to be productive the whole time. Just be present with your kid and your partner. The nerves are totally normal but you're gonna crush it.
