Just got back from paternity leave and I'm not gonna lie it sucks
Three months at home with the baby was incredible but now I'm back full time and missing everything. My wife texts me videos of all the new stuff our daughter is doing and I feel like I'm missing her growing up. Meanwhile my boss is already piling on projects like I wasn't just gone. Anyone else deal with this re-entry period?
The adjustment is real. I went back after three months with my second kid and it was brutal. What helped was making sure I was present when I was actually there instead of thinking about work.
