Just got offered a promotion but it means travel 3 weeks a month

So I've been at this company for 4 years and they're finally offering me the regional director role I've been working toward. The money is really good and would basically secure my kids' college fund. But the job description says at least 20 days a month on the road. My oldest is 7, youngest is 4. My wife works part time and honestly she's already maxed out with daycare pickup and homework help. I feel like I'd be that guy who provides everything but sees his kids like twice a week. Has anyone turned down a big opportunity for family time? Or am I being stupid? The old me would have taken it in a heartbeat.
