Just got offered a promotion but it means traveling 3 weeks a month

So my boss surprised me with this opportunity yesterday and I'm totally conflicted. It's a 20k raise and honestly would look great on my resume, but my kids are 6 and 8 and I just got to a good place where I'm actually present at dinner most nights. My wife is supportive but I can tell she's worried about me being gone that much. Anyone else been in this spot? How did you decide?

Before you say yes, try to get some specifics on what those 3 weeks actually look like. Is it back-to-back or spread out? Could make a huge difference in deciding if it's doable for your family situation.

That's a tough call, brother. I've been there with the work vs. family thing and those 3 weeks add up fast with three kids. The money's nice but you gotta ask yourself if missing that much time is worth it right now.
