Just went back to work after paternity leave and I'm already stressed
Got back from my 8 weeks of parental leave yesterday and man, jumping back into emails was brutal. My boss had this stack of projects waiting and acted like I'd been gone for a year. Meanwhile I'm trying to adjust to only seeing my newborn for like 2 hours in the morning before I leave. Has anyone figured out how to actually do this without feeling like you're failing at both jobs?
I remember that shock when I came back. The inbox alone was stressing me out, but what really got me was the mental whiplash of going from baby schedules to meetings all day. Hang in there, it gets easier after the first couple weeks.
