Left work early to catch kids recital and feel guilty about it

My daughter had her school recital at 2pm today. I told my team I was leaving and got out of the office by 130. Made it there and she was so happy to see me in the audience. But now I'm sitting here stressed about the meeting I missed and wondering if my boss noticed. This shouldnt be this hard. A one hour absence for your kids event shouldn't make you feel like you're failing at work.
