My job doesn't respect work from home days

I negotiated Tuesday and Thursday from home so I could help with pickup and have some flexibility. But every Tuesday I get called into an office meeting or get emails saying 'are you coming in today.' It's super frustrating because I was clear about this. My manager seems annoyed that I'm not in the office. Should I push back or just go back to the office full time? The commute kills my time with the kids though.

Been there. My boss was the same way until I showed metrics proving I was actually more productive working from home. Sometimes you have to make the business case for it even when it shouldn't be necessary.

That's so frustrating. You literally negotiated a work arrangement that still gets you to work on time and helps with logistics. They shouldn't have a problem with it if your work is getting done. What's their actual complaint?

Document everything - your output, your availability, your response times. If they're pushing back without cause it might be worth escalating to HR or just job hunting. You negotiated in good faith.
