My job is eating my lunch money - literally

Work has been absolutely insane the past few months. New project, short deadline, and I'm the lead so I can't really delegate. I've been working 50-55 hour weeks, eating lunch at my desk (when I eat), and I'm exhausted all the time. My kids noticed I'm grumpy when I get home. My wife is basically solo parenting in the evenings. I know this isn't sustainable but I also don't want to look like I'm not committed at work. How do you guys handle the really demanding seasons without everything falling apart at home?

Eating lunch at your desk? Nah man, that's a slippery slope. I learned the hard way that if you don't protect that 30 minutes for yourself you burn out fast. Even if it's just sitting in your car with a burrito.
When do you get to actually step back and breathe? Because working through lunch plus whatever you're doing nights with the kids adds up quick. That's the exact schedule that breaks people down.
