We were doing pretty good with 3 remote days. Cut to 1 day starting next month. I have a 5yo in school and a 2yo at home with my mom during the day. The 2yo is sick constantly (daycare germs) so I was using one remote day to be here if my mom needed me. Now that's gone. Already looking at new jobs but the market sucks. Anyone else dealing with policy rollbacks?
That's rough. Have you talked to your manager about the impact on your 5yo's schedule? Sometimes companies don't realize how much this affects working parents.
This is so frustrating. You had a system that worked and they just yanked it. Can you push back with data about productivity staying the same?
Have you looked into other companies in your field? Seems like remote flexibility is becoming more standard so you might have options.
I feel this in my soul. Going from 3 days to 1 is like going from 3 to 0 honestly. The commute alone is eating up so much time with my kids.

One remote day is barely worth it. You're basically in the office full time now. I'd start looking around if they're not willing to budge on this.
