Paternity leave question - how long did you take?

Baby #2 coming in 6 weeks and I'm trying to figure out how much leave to take. My company offers 8 weeks paid but I'm worried it'll look bad if I take all of it. What did you guys do? Is 4 weeks the sweet spot or am I overthinking this?

Take the full 8 weeks. Those first weeks with number two are chaos and you'll want to be there to help out. Your job will be fine, I promise.

Take it all, man. I took 8 weeks with both kids and honestly wish I'd had more. Your company wouldn't offer it if they didn't expect people to use it, and you're not going to regret that time with baby #2.

Took 6 weeks with my second and felt rushed the whole time. Don't worry about how it looks - you're a better employee when you're not stressed about your newborn at home.
