Paternity leave thoughts 2 months in

I'm on paternity leave for the next 4 months and honestly it's been the best decision. Getting to spend this time with our newborn and helping my wife is priceless. The work stuff will still be there when I get back. My boss seemed okay with it but I'm still getting emails from coworkers asking questions. Just ignoring them for now. Anyone else take an extended leave? How did you deal with the guilt of being gone?

Four months is amazing. I'm honestly jealous, man. Soak up every bit of it because you'll blink and your newborn won't need you in the same way anymore. Enjoy the bonding time with your wife too.

That's awesome you're making the most of it. We all wish we had more time early on. The fact that you're present and helping your wife is what matters most. Your kid will feel that.
