Paternity leave was the best decision I made
Just wanted to share that taking my full 12 weeks of paternity leave was honestly one of the best things I've done as a dad. I bonded with my son, learned how to change diapers without panicking, and gave my wife actual rest. I know not everyone can afford to take it or their company allows it, but if you can do it, DO IT. The career stuff will still be there when you get back. Your kid's first few months won't.
12 weeks is amazing. I got 6 weeks with my first and honestly it felt like I was just getting into the groove when I had to go back. The bonding during those early weeks is irreplaceable.
