Promotion came through but it means traveling again

Got the senior role I've been gunning for, but it's 2 weeks/month travel. My youngest starts kindergarten in August. I keep telling myself the money is worth it, the prestige, the resume builder... but I'm picturing myself at another conference while she's at her first day without me there. My wife is being supportive but I can tell she's not thrilled. This is the choice I thought I wanted but now I'm not so sure. Anyone been in this spot?
