Promotion opportunity but it means traveling 3 weeks a month
Got offered a regional manager spot that's a huge step up for my career. It checks all the boxes for money and status. Problem is it requires traveling to 4 different locations every month and I already feel like I'm missing too much with the kids. My oldest starts middle school next year and I promised to be more present. Wife is supportive of whatever I choose but I can see the stress in her face. This shouldn't be this hard to decide but it is. Anyone take a step back career wise for family?
Man, that's tough. I turned down a similar gig a few years back because I didn't want to miss my kids growing up. The money's nice but you can't get those years back. What does your gut tell you?
