Promotion opportunity but it means traveling again

Got offered a big promotion at work. More money, better title, but I'd be traveling 2-3 days a week again. Before the kids I would've jumped on this immediately. Now I'm terrified. My oldest has soccer games on Saturdays, my wife is drowning managing everything on her own during the week, and I promised myself I wouldn't be the absent dad my father was. Can you make it work or do I need to pass on this? Really need some perspective from guys who've been in this spot.

Big career move but also big life trade-off. Think about what matters most right now. The promotion will probably come around again if you pass.

Can you negotiate on the travel days? Maybe push for 1-2 days instead? Sometimes they have more flexibility on these things than they let on initially.

That's the tough one. More money is great but missing weeknights with the kids adds up fast. Only you know if the trade-off is worth it for your family.
