Quick question - best calendar app for coordinating with your partner?

We keep double-booking ourselves because we're using different systems (she's iCal, I'm Google). Need something that actually syncs and maybe lets us see each other's work availability too. We've tried Shared Google Calendar but it's not intuitive enough. Anyone found something that actually works?
