Quitting my job - here's why

After 12 years in tech, I'm done. The pace, the expectation to always be on, the performance reviews, all of it. I'm fortunate enough that we can swing it on my wife's salary (she makes good money). Going to spend time with the boys (7, 4, 1) while I figure out what's next. Maybe consult part-time, maybe something totally different.

I know this seems extreme to some people, but I was missing actual life. Kids asking where dad is, me missing school events, working weekends. Not interested anymore. Nervous AF but also weirdly excited.
