Rant: Got called into meeting at 4:45pm on Friday

Nothing like finding out your manager scheduled a "quick sync" right before you're supposed to pick up your son from daycare. Had to scramble to get my wife to grab him instead. She wasn't thrilled. This is the third time this month. How do you guys deal with managers who don't respect end of day? I don't want to be that guy who complains but also I have a family.

Man, that's rough. I've been there with the last-minute meeting panic. Hope you got your son picked up okay - those 4:45pm calls right before pickup are the worst.

Late Friday meetings hit different when you've got daycare pickup looming. Feel for you on the scramble. Did your manager at least keep it actually quick?
