Rant: Meetings after 3pm need to stop

I have to leave at 3:15 to pick up my kids from after school care. It's literally in my calendar, my boss knows it, and yet somehow I keep getting meeting invites for 3pm or 4pm. I either have to skip the meeting or pay an extra 100 bucks for emergency pickup. This never happened when I worked in office where everyone could see me leaving. Now that I'm remote I feel like people don't respect the pickup time as much as when I used to physically walk out.
