Remote work but still expected at office 5 days a week
My company is supposedly remote friendly but my manager keeps saying I need to be in the office 5 days a week to be seen and be taken seriously for promotions. My kids are at home with a nanny and I feel like I'm missing everything. Most of my actual work could be done from home. Is it worth pushing back or am I just going to get passed over for promotions if I do?
I'd be curious if anyone else on your team is actually in the office 5 days or if it's just you getting this pressure. Sometimes managers say this stuff but don't actually enforce it consistently.
