Been working from home for eight months now and honestly it's been a game changer. I eat lunch with my kids, I can pick them up from school, and I'm actually present for the small stuff. My boss doesn't care where I work as long as the work gets done, and I've been crushing my metrics. The commute was killing me before, both in terms of time and just my mental health. If anyone's on the fence about asking for remote work at their job, I'd say go for it. Best decision I made for work-life balance.

Remote work has been huge for me too with pickups and just being around more. You get to actually be part of their day instead of just hearing about it secondhand. Really changes the whole dynamic.
