Remote work changed my life as a dad
Been WFH for 2 years now and I gotta say it's the best thing that happened to our family. I can take my son to school, eat lunch with my kids, be there when they get home. Yeah I work until 8pm most nights but at least I'm physically present. The flexibility to handle doctor appointments and sick days is incredible. My commute was eating 2 hours a day that I'm getting back now. Anyone else remote? How are you managing it?
I'm considering making this switch and it's good to hear from someone who actually loves it. So many people talk about the downsides. What's the biggest benefit for you family-wise?
Real talk, how did it take about 6 months to really adjust? I'm curious if there's a settling in period before it actually starts feeling beneficial.
