Remote work has been a game changer but I'm struggling with boundaries

So I've been working from home for about 8 months now and honestly it's been great for being present with the kids. But here's the problem - my work laptop sits on the kitchen counter and I find myself checking emails at like 9pm while my wife is trying to have a conversation with me. Yesterday my 4 year old asked why daddy's always on his phone and it hit different. Anyone else dealing with this? How do you actually turn it off when your office is literally 15 feet from your bedroom?
