Remote work has been a game changer for my family

Been remote for 2 years now since my daughter was born and I genuinely can't imagine going back to an office. I get to have lunch with her, pick her up from daycare most days, help with bedtime routine without being exhausted from commuting. My work actually got better because I'm not wasting 2 hours a day on the road. I know not everyone can do this but if your company offers it, take it. Best decision I made.

The only downside I've noticed is sometimes people forget you're actually working and just see the 'working from home' part. But yeah overall it's been amazing for my family. Quality time with the kids is back on the menu.

This is the dream setup honestly. I'm still in the office full time and some days I'd give anything to be remote just to catch a little more time with my kids before they're all grown up.

I keep saying the same thing. Before remote work I was working crazy hours and missing everything. Now I'm still providing but I'm actually HERE. Can't imagine going back either. The commute alone would kill me.

Remote work changed everything for us too. I can do lunch with the kids, be there for the important stuff, and still get my work done. The flexibility is unmatched. Some days my daughter is playing in the living room while I'm in a meeting but honestly I wouldn't trade it.
