Remote work is a game changer but I'm struggling with boundaries

Been working from home for 2 years now. Saved hours on commute and I'm actually present for my kids. But my work creeps into everything. I'll be at dinner checking emails. Wife finally called me out on it. Set a hard cutoff at 5:30 now and it's been better. Still figuring out how to be fully present in both worlds but at least I'm trying.

Remote work is a blessing and a curse. You save time but now work bleeds into family time because the office is in your house. Have you tried setting hard stop times?

Set a specific end time and stick to it like your life depends on it. I mean it. Walk away from the desk and don't look back until the next day. Your kids need to see you actually done working.

The boundaries thing is tricky. I struggle with knowing when to close the laptop and actually be off work mentally. Coffee helps but probably not the real solution.
