Remote work is a trap
Everyone says its great for dads but honestly it's the worst. I'm supposed to work full time while also being available for the kids, helping with school stuff, handling all the household things my wife's job doesn't let her do. I'm never fully present at either. Just finished a call and my 4 year old's been asking for juice for the last 2 hours. How is this sustainable?
The trap is real. People think you can just work from home and be more available but your boss still expects full time output and the kids still need full time parenting. I switched back to office three days a week just to actually focus.
