Remote work is killing me and nobody understands
I work from home and literally everyone acts like I have it easy. My wife keeps asking me to handle stuff during the day because I'm 'right there', my boss emails me at 8pm and expects answers, and my kids don't understand that a closed door means I'm working not that I can play with them. I love being home but the boundaries are completely gone. Thinking about going back to an office just to get some separation. Anyone else dealing with this?
This hits different when you're trying to actually focus on work. People see you're home and think it's flexible but really you're trying to do two jobs at once.
