Remote work killing my productivity since kid was born

So I've been working from home for 2 years and it was great. Now my 8 month old is here and I can't get anything done. My wife goes back to work next month and I'm supposed to do full time remote plus watch him during the day? I don't think my boss understands that I can't just "focus harder" when there's a baby crying in the background. Anyone else dealing with this? How do you manage it?

Eight months and your wife heading back soon is a lot to juggle. Those early months are chaos but it does get easier to find your rhythm. Hang in there.

Remote work with a baby is a completely different game. The focus just isn't there when they need you every few minutes. Have you and your wife talked about adjusting expectations for a bit?
