Remote work killing my work-life balance
So I've been working from home for 2 years now and honestly it's gotten worse not better. The problem is I'm literally 20 feet from my desk all day, so I keep checking emails at 8pm or doing 'quick tasks' after the kids go to bed. My wife is frustrated because I'm never fully present even though I'm home. Anyone else struggle with actually logging off when your office is in your bedroom?
Two years in and realizing it was supposed to be flexible but instead it's just more demanding? Yeah that's the remote work bait and switch right there. You need boundaries or it bleeds into everything.
