Remote work life hack: using your lunch break to be present
Been working from home for about 2 years now and honestly this is what saved my sanity. I close my laptop at 12 and have actual lunch with my kids for 45 minutes. My kids know I'm there and I get to see them instead of just hearing about their day secondhand. My coworkers thought I was crazy at first but a few have started doing it too. Obviously you have to make up the time but having that middle ground where work isn't taking the whole day has been huge for my mental state. Anyone else figured out a similar rhythm?
I'm trying to figure this out right now. We're hybrid so I'm not home every day, but when I am home it's chaos trying to work and be present. How do you manage the guilt of being 'not at work' during work hours?
