Remote work saved my relationship with my kids
Before we went remote during covid I barely saw my kids. Left at 6 AM, got home at 6 PM, they were already in bed. Now I work from home and yeah sometimes I'm in meetings but I can have lunch with them, pick them up from school, help with homework. My productivity is actually up because I'm not burned out from an hour commute each way. Partner companies are starting to require everyone back in office and I'm genuinely terrified about it. Anyone found ways to negotiate staying remote after RTO mandates?
Remote work is a total game changer for dads. I'm in an office still and those early morning to evening days just eat away at your time with them. You made the right call staying remote.
