Been remote for 2 years now. Yeah I work from home but I'm actually HERE. I make my oldest breakfast every morning, I'm present after school, I see the little moments that matter. When I was commuting 2 hours a day I was missing everything. My boss is cool with it. My productivity hasn't dropped. My marriage is better. My kids are happier because their dad isn't exhausted all the time. I know everyone can't do this but if you have the option, seriously consider it.

Remote work gets a bad rap sometimes but honestly being HERE for the day-to-day stuff? That's the whole game. Not missing the little moments.

This hits different. I'm still in the office most days and I miss so much. Being able to make breakfast with them changes everything about the whole day. You nailed something real here.

This resonates hard. Even on days when work is crazy I can actually be present in a different way. My kids know I'm around and that matters.
