Ever since my company let me go full remote I've actually been present for my kids. I get to eat lunch with them, hear about their day, pick them up from school. My work productivity is up and I'm less stressed. I know it won't last forever but I'm grateful for this season. Anyone else found that remote work actually makes you a better father?
Remote work is the real MVP. I'm in the same boat and honestly it's made me a better dad. You get those moments that matter and the guilt about missing stuff basically disappears.
This is what it's all about right here. Those little moments add up to way more than any office time could give you.
That's huge man. Being able to actually BE there for lunch and pickup changes the whole dynamic with your kids. I'm jealous of that setup but glad you're making it work.
Same here. Being able to grab lunch with the kids instead of eating at my desk has been huge. Plus I actually see them after school instead than getting home at 6. Game changer.

How did you negotiate that with your company? I've been thinking about asking but worried they'll say no. Did you have to prove productivity or something?
