Remote work saved my sanity
My company went full remote last year and I honestly don't know how I'd go back to the office now. I save 2 hours a day commuting, can actually eat lunch with my kids, and if one of them gets sick I'm right here instead of stressed at my desk wondering what's happening at home. The work gets done. I'm more productive. Yet my boss keeps hinting about coming back in. Why is this so hard for older management to understand?
The sanity part is real. You're not in traffic, you're not wasting 2 hours a day commuting, and you can actually participate in your family's day. Hard to go back once you've had that.
