Remote work saved my sanity but now boss expects me to be always on

Been working from home for 3 years now and honestly it's been great for being present with the kids. But lately my boss keeps slack messaging me at 7pm asking for updates on projects. My oldest had his school play yesterday and I had to step out during it to take a call. How do you guys set boundaries without looking like you don't care about your job? I love what I do but I'm exhausted.

You gotta draw a hard line or it'll never stop. 7pm messages get responded to at 9am, that's the only way to keep your sanity.

The always-on thing is brutal. You worked hard to get that time back with your kids, don't let Slack steal it from you.
