Remote work saved my sanity during school pickup

Been working from home for about 18 months now and I can honestly say it's changed everything about how I show up as a dad. I'm able to do school pickup three days a week which has become this special thing with my kids. We get ice cream, they tell me about their day, no rush. I still work full days but not sitting in a car for two hours commuting. My work actually got better too because I'm less stressed and more focused. Not sure how I'd go back. Are there other dads out there doing remote work that have seen similar changes?
