Side hustle update: finally made my first $200

Started freelance writing gigs on Upwork about 4 months ago, squeezing in work during naptime and after bedtime. Hit $200 this week! It's not going to replace my job or anything, but it's nice to have my own money and feel like I'm doing something for myself. My wife thinks I'm crazy for adding more to my plate, but tbh it's the only thing keeping me sane. Anyone else have side hustles? What are you doing?

How are you managing naptime writing without burning out? I tried this for a couple months and just ended up exhausted and grumpy with the family.

Upwork can be rough to break into but once you get some good reviews the work starts coming more regularly. You probably won't need to squeeze in quite as much time in another few months if you keep at it.

The naptime hustle is real. I do freelance design stuff the same way and honestly some days I just nap when the kids nap because sleep wins out over money.
