Stressed out about money and providing

Partner wants me to take a less demanding job so I can be more present with the kids but it's a 15k pay cut. We're not hurting financially but that money helps with their activities and college savings. Feel like I can't win. Either I'm grinding away and missing childhood or I'm not pulling my weight financially. Anyone been here?
